Photo Specifications
◈ Format (Size)
One identical photograph must be submitted. It should be 200 × 200 pixels in width and height, and the image size must be between 5 and 100 Kb. The photo should show a close-up of your face and the top of your shoulders, so that your face occupies between 70% and 80% of the frame (approximately 1.4" × 1.6" from the chin to the crown of the head). The photograph must clearly show the person's facial features in a straightforward position, from the tip of the chin to the crown of the head, as well as the left and right sides of the face.
In the case of voluminous hair, the entire head (including the hairstyle) must be visible without reducing the face's size. The face must be centered and the photograph must not be older than six months to ensure an up-to-date likeness.
◈ Background
The background must be white and must not contain any pattern. Only the person being photographed should appear in the image (no other people or objects). No shadow should be visible on the background.
◈ Expression
The head of the person photographed must not be tilted or turned (avoid a portrait style). Your head must face the camera squarely; slight rotation or tilting of the face is acceptable. Your face and eyes must be directed straight at the camera, so that both ears and both cheeks are clearly visible.
◈ Head Wear
Generally speaking, head coverings are not permitted. Exceptions may be granted, particularly for religious reasons. In such cases, the face must be entirely visible, from the lower tip of the chin up to the forehead. No shadow should be cast on the face.
